Tiger Club
When our students become 5th graders, they become Tigers! As part of our community outreach, tigers participate in monthly lessons with kindergartners (cubs) as part of their community service within the school year providing academic and social-emotional support to our Cubs. Beginning in October, our Tigers and Cubs get together and participate in small group reading sessions, social-emotional development games and team building activities. Topics covered are understanding our emotions, mindfulness, celebration of diversity, celebration of individuality, and more! This is an amazing opportunity for our students to get to know their school population, promote academic and social success, all while understanding the importance of community outreach.
