PS17Q uses HMH Into Reading to develop strong readers and writers. Our children participate in daily reading and writing workshops. Our younger students participate in daily phonics lessons, while our older students are exposed to grammar instruction and review. All children develop academic language through the use of vocabulary lessons, field trips aligned to units of study, hands-on experiences and the use of protocols that promote deep discussion.
